BREAKING: MASS SHOOTING AT U.S. AIRPORT, So Far 5 DEAD…here’s what we know


Fort Lauderdale, Fla. — A gunman is in custody after opening fire Friday afternoon at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida. He shot at least thirteen people and killed five of them, Broward County officials said.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether the shooting occurred inside an airport terminal, but new reports indicate it happened on the lower level inside the building by the baggage claim. Passengers and workers were evacuated onto a tarmac.

Former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer tweeted that he was at the airport at the time of the shooting and “everyone is running.” He later tweeted that “all seems calm.”

Ongoing update: The first shooter, identified as Estaban Santiogo, fired off 3 magazines and then sat down as if his mission was completed and waited to be arrested. Shooter was I.D.d by a military i.d card it is being reported. Reports indicate that Santiago picked up his baggage from baggage claim pulled out the gun loaded it and started firing, and then reloaded and started firing again. Once he ran out he sat down like mission complete.

Second shooter confirmed and in custody now!
