The United Church of Christ (UCC) is a self-proclaimed Christian denomination. They have been around since 1957 and boast 5,100 churches and 1.1 million members across the United States. Not some little country congregation for sure. There are so many denominations under the name ‘Christian’ and they all tend to interpret the same Bible in different ways. What exactly does the UCC believe?
We believe in the triune God: Creator, resurrected Christ, the sole Head of the church, and the Holy Spirit, who guides and brings about the creative and redemptive work of God in the world.
We believe that each person is unique and valuable. It is the will of God that every person belong to a family of faith where they have a strong sense of being valued and loved.
We believe that each person is on a spiritual journey and that each of us is at a different stage of that journey. [For more click HERE]
On the surface, they appear like a regular ol’ Christian Church. However, they recently came out with a campaign that clearly comes from licking the boots of leftists. Their message is to shame white people and make white people feel guilty for being…white. Once you get past their Facebook gay pride banner (an entirely different topic), you will find this:
Here’s my call to you, anti-racism allies. Spend one day challenging yourself to confront the ways you may also be racist.
From their blog (click to read the entire BS):
It’s the phrase bigots hate to hear and progressives love to denounce.
If you are white and clicked on this blog to be congratulated for naming your privilege, you can stop reading in a few characters.
Thank you for naming your privilege.
It’s a good starting point of solidarity with people of color (POC) to name that your privilege exists.
But naming your privilege is not the same thing as taking actions to reject it and dismantle white supremacy.
Take note, this little piece is written by a black woman named Marchaé Grair, who is the editor of New Sacred and social media associate for the United Church of Christ. Who is the real racist here?
What kind of Christian church is this and where are they getting their doctrine? Certainly not from the Christian Bible! It sounds like they have been hanging out in bathhouses with leftists exchanges ideas and theories.
