The state of Florida makes up whopping 29 electoral votes, and will be a key state to secure in order to win the presidency. The Florida Department of State’s Division of Elections has just released their voting data, showing a very interesting trend. Democrats are beating out Republicans currently, but only by an extremely small margin.
“The Republicans received 2,471,000 votes. This means Democrats took home only 39.85% of the vote while Republicans got 38.49%. This is a huge difference compared to 2012 when Obama got 43% while Romney only received 40%,” Conservative Outfitters reported.
These are very promising numbers compared to the last presidential election, as Trump has outperformed Mitt Romney by an astounding 130,000 votes in early voting, as the Drudge Report is currently reporting:
“Data obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT shows presidential underdog Donald Trump outperforming Republican 2012 election results in Florida.
Mitt Romney went into Election Day down 161,000 in absentee ballots and early voting. He ended up losing the state by 74,000.
This time, in a dramatic surprise twist, Trump is only down 32,500! And Republicans tend to outvote Democrats on Election Day in Florida.
