Recent news has revealed that Seth Rich was behind the 30,000 hacked DNC emails, but there were more emails leaked. A hacker going by the name of Guccifer 2.0 has re-emerged today and he brought with him a list of hacked goods.
Little is known about Guccifer 2.0, but he has provided several clues. He has a blog, a social media presence, and he’s given one lengthy interview in the recent past. He’s not the same person as the original Guccifer, who was a Romanian hacker that is now in jail. After a long period of silence, Guccifer 2.0 has just released more information.
Included in the release is a list of contact information for 194 Democrats. Within the excel spreadsheet are cellphone numbers and email addresses for several top people within the Democrat party including Nancy Pelosi and Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
In addition to contact information, Guccifer 2.0 also releases an extensive list of login credentials to several of the DNC accounts used in daily operation. The hacker offers his gratitude for the list of passwords to Nirali Amin and proudly displays the email responsible for providing the lists. Below the trophy he offers a curious note as to the complexity of the passwords, “By the way, the complexity of the passwords leaves much to be desired.”.
The only other information provided are a few memorandums. This memo includes information on a campaign fundraiser held by Nancy Pelosi in honor of “Carrol for Colorado”, according to the memo. The pages also show it was a rather small and private gathering with only 25 invited guests and hosted by Congressman Jared Polis.
I have contacted Guccifer 2.0 to request special access to other documents still in his possession. It will be interesting to see if he has any incriminating evidence that can be used to implicate top DNC officials. What he has released is inconsequential and provides nothing more than proof of his hack.
