After garnering over 141,000 signatures, the White House has given their decision on whether or not to label BLM a terrorist organization or not. Terrorism is defined as “the use of violence and intimidation in pursuit of political aims,” which seems to describe the actions of protesters, especially recently. I realize that at the heart of their movement, their intentions are to unite and encourage equality and put an end to the perceived unfair treatment, but their actions tend to speak otherwise.
According to the “We the People” team, “The White House plays no role in designating domestic terror organizations. The U.S. government does not generate a list of domestic terror organizations, and therefore we are not able to address the formal request of your petition. We encourage you to engage with your community in the ongoing discussion of how we can better build trust and safety in our communities.”
So, basically your efforts were fruitless. Just as the White House claims that ISIS has nothing to do with Islam, it is now trying to claim that BLM has nothing to do with being violently anti-police and anti-white. So this state-sponsored terrorism is allowed to continue because the President decided to play the ultimate cop-out and say that he has no role in controlling this hate-fueled racist group.
