The war on police continues. The Chicago Tribune is reporting that an Officer was shot during a routine stop in Obama’s hometown of Chicago Illinois. Police were responding to a call made by local resident who was concerned about a man acting erratically in a park. When the officers arrived at the scene, they found the man who was on his cell phone talking to someone. The police approached the man to question him. When they told the man to hang up the phone so that they can talk, the man pulled a handgun out of his backpack and opened fire on the officers:
The officers immediately returned fire. The suspect was struck multiple times and later died from his injuries. An officer involved in the incident was also shot. His partner saved his life by wrapping a tourniquet around his leg to stop the bleeding. He was taken to the Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was treated for non life threatening injuries.
At the time of this article few details are known, including the motive. One thing remains the same however, the war on police must end!
